Games Done Quick just wrapped up their first charity stream of 2021. Awesome Games Done Quick ran from Jan. 3 – 10, raising over $2.75 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

There were over 25,000 donors, with an average donation of $65 and a median of $25.

If you missed the streams, you can find archives of all the speedruns on the Games Done Quick YouTube channel. Runs include classic games like Pokémon Blue, Ocarina of Time, Skyrim, Sonic, Half-Life, Halo 3, and Final Fantasy 7 as well as a few recent titles like Minecraft Dungeons, Into the Breach, and Hades. Or how about a crazy blindfolded run of Super Mario 64!

There are over 150 runs to enjoy. The entire event was done virtually, in accordance with safety measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Viewers were encouraged to donate to the Prevent Cancer Donation. The nonprofit turns 35 this year, and is the only charity organization focused on saving lives and helping cancer patents , including prevention and detection.

The next Games Done Quick charity event will take place in July for Summer Games Done Quick 2021.
