We’re a little less than two weeks away from the release of one of the biggest games of the year, Cyberpunk 2077. To wet our ravenous appetites, CD Projekt Red has released a lengthy gameplay trailer showcasing in-game footage on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person, open world RPG based on the near-future tabletop RPG. You’ll contend with street gangs, militarized police, and corporate security with upgradeable weapons, cyber-implants, hacking skills, and vehicles. Fully customize your character, and make friends, enemies, and choices as you craft your own story in Night City.

The trailer briefly shows the extensive character customization for protagonist V, as well as the three career paths and backstories you can choose from: nomad, streetkid, and corpo.

In the trailer we see the Nomad life, including driving around Night City and the surrounding desert.

The gameplay in the first half of the trailer is captured from a PlayStation 4 Pro, while the second half shows the PlayStation 5, via backwards compatibility. An official next-gen upgrade that takes advantage of the new hardware will be available for free “at a later date.”

After numerous delays, Cyberpunk 2077 is (hopefully) launching on December 10 for Steam PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One. It’s available on Xbox One X/S and PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility. It’s rated M for Mature.
