Chainsawesome Games has released multiplayer party game Knight Squad on Nintendo Switch. It’s available now on the eShop, and includes the Extra Chivalrous DLC, for $14.99.

Knight Squad is a Bomberman-like multiplayer arena arcade game that features top-down action on a single screen. Grab weapons and powerups like crossbows, horses, and swords, as well as zanier items like laser guns and miniguns. Game modes include Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing, and Capture the Grail.

If you don’t have seven other friends handy, bots can fill out the remaining slots with a variety of difficulty levels.

“Since the very first day the Nintendo Switch was announced, fans have been asking that we bring Knight Squad to that platform, it’s just a natural fit,” said Laurent Mercure, Communications Officer, Chainsawesome Games. “We’re a tiny studio and we had our hands full with another project at the time, we couldn’t jump on it immediately. But it’s happening now and we’re super excited. With its minimalist controllers, family time vibe and focus on local multiplayer, Knight Squad is right at home on the Nintendo platform.”

Knight Squad originally launched in 2015 on PC (Steam) and Xbox One. It’s out now on Switch, and rated E for Everyone.
