Frontier Developments has announced the second paid DLC pack for sim game Planet Zoo. The South America Pack will add five new animals and over 250 scenery and building pieces when it launches on April 7, for $9.99.

The South America pack adds the following jungle-dwelling animals (and a llama):

  • Jaguar
  • Capuchin Monkey
  • Giant Anteater
  • Red-Eyed Tree Frog
  • Llama

Like all Planet Zoo animals, these new arrivals will need to be researched and cared for with the proper facilities and enrichment items to keep them healthy and happy.

The new scenery items are jungle themed, including bamboo and thatched pieces. You’ll be able to recreate the ruins of lost civilizations, or create the illusion of nature taking over with a huge selection of trees and other foliage.

Alongside the paid DLC pack is the 1.2 update for Planet Zoo. The free update will add a genealogy tab for each animal to trace their family trees. The update also adds lots of quality of life improvements, including new difficulty settings, research sharing across all franchise zoos, and even more scenery and enrichment items (as well as the usual bug fixes).

The free update and the paid DLC will arrive on April 7. Planet Zoo is available on PC (Steam) and rated E10+.
