Level-5 has released Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy on Nintendo Switch with a new remasterd HD Deluxe Edition. It’s available in physical retail stores as well as the Nintendo eShop for $39.99. Watch the new launch trailer above.

Layton’s Mystery Journey stars new protagonist Katrielle, daughter of the titular archaeologist and puzzle-solving professor from the Profesor Layton series. Katrielle and her talking dog companion solve mysteries and puzzles around the city of London. Unlike previous entries, the new series featured a more casual, episodic format instead of a big overarching narrative.

The puzzle game originally launched on Nintendo 3DS and mobile devices in 2017. The series has been a regular on Nintendo handheld devices for the last decade, making this Deluxe Edition its first console appearance.

Aside from improved HD graphics and more visible screen space for clues, the new Deluxe Edition features 40 new puzzles, as well as several re-designed puzzles from the 3DS game. More than 50 outfits have also been added, all of which can be unlocked through gameplay. Finally the Deluxe Edition includes all the previously released outfit DLC.

The Deluxe Edition includes over 500 puzzles, the largest amount of puzzles of any Layton series game, and over 70 outfits.

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy – Deluxe Edition is available now on Switch. It’s rated E10+.
