UK indie developer Auroch Digital has released their fish tycoon sim Megaquarium on PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.

Megaquarium features nearly 100 aquatic life to populate your aquarium park, including fish, sharks, crustaceans and corals. A 10-mission campaign helps ease you into the gameplay, teaching you how to manage and run your aquarium, along with a sandbox mode and random challenge generator.

As a sim game you’ll need to do far more then throw fish in some glass tanks. Different fish have different care and upkeep requirements, just like a zoo. Your individual exhibits require filters, skimmers, heaters, food dispensers, and other equipment. Over 100 objects are available, including tank decorations and guest amenities like gift shops and drink stalls. You’ll also need to hire, train, and maintain staff to help keep your guests happy and their wallets empty.

Megaquarium originally launched last year on PC (Steam, GoG). Over the last year the game has received several free updates and patches, including adding Steam Workshop support to allow users to add their own custom creations.

To celebrate the sim game’s launch on consoles, the PC version is enjoying a 40% discount through October 28.

Megaquarium is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
