Fortnite Season 7 arrives tomorrow, bringing with it new fantasy and snow-themed outfits and map changes, including blizzards and castles. The big news, however, is an all new gameplay mode called Fortnite Creative. Fortnite Creative is considered the third gameplay mode of Fortnite, after Save the World and Battle Royale.

Fortnite Creative features a private island where friends can build their own world and design their own games. You can fly around and customize your island using pre-fab buildings and assets from Fortnite Save the World and Battle Royale, letting you instantly build your own world, as well as using the standard Fortnite building tools. It’s a bit of Fortnite meets Minecraft, and everything you build on your island is saved and persistent.

Fortnite Creative will be officially out on December 13 for free. However, purchasing the Battle Pass for Season 7 will net you early access when Season 7 begins on Thursday, December 6.

The official announcement was supposed to occur when Season 7 arrived on December 6, most likely during The Game Awards. Due to leaks, however, Epic Games officially announced Fortnite Creative today.

To help spread the word of Fortnite Creative, Epic Games invited a bunch of streamers, Youtubers, and influencers to try it out in a private play session. Their embargoes have now been lifted, and you can watch them here.

Fortnite is one of the most popular games on the planet, especially for young people. Fortnite Battle Royale is available for free on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and mobile devices.
