There are few assurances in life: death, taxes, and a new Madden football game every fall. Today EA has announced the cover athlete for the next Madden iteration. Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown will grace the cover of Madden NFL 19, as well as the icon of the new tie-in mobile game, Madden NFL Overdrive.
Madden NFL 19 is out August 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Origin). Madden NFL Overdrive is coming to iOS and Android August 15.
“I am beyond honored to be on the cover of both Madden games,” said Brown. “There’s a lot of milestones athletes dream of, and after being inducted into the Madden 99 Club earlier this year, and now appearing on the cover of this year’s games, it’s clear that business is not just booming, but I’m also among the all-time greatest with these honors.”
Madden NFL 19 will feature Real Player Motion technology. This new visualization grants more control and better player animations to emulate their real-life counterparts.
The single-player story campaign will also return from last year’s Madden. The story, called Longshot: Homecoming, will see Devin Wade and Colt Cruise continue their football careers, along with more ways to impact the story. Players will be able to continue their Longshot campaign into Franchise and Ultimate Team modes.
The Madden NFL 19 Hall of Fame Deluxe Edition will grant a 3-day early access period, starting August 7. It includes a number of elite players and fantasy picks. You can also select one of five Hall of Fame athletes: Terrell Owens, Brian Urlacher, Rod Woodson, Dan Marino, or Terrell Davis.
Origin/EA Access members will be able to demo Madden NFL 19 for 10 hours beginning on August 2 on Xbox One and PC. Origin Access Premiere members will be able to play the game first on August 2.
Madden NFL 19 launches August 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
