Jam City has added a new PvP multiplayer mode to mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. The Dueling Club is a series of limited time events, with the first event starting this week for Facebook connected players. It ends July 15.

During the event, every player receives three tickets. Each ticket grants admission to a single wizard duel with a randomly selected opponent online. The loser loses a ticket while the winnner keeps theirs, along with a special reward. This means you can only lose three times per event.

Dueling involves tracing shapes and symbols to cast offensive, defensive, and sneaky spells. Players will use the same spells they learn during their time at Hogwarts.

“Players have had the chance to try their hand at dueling with none other than Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery nemesis, Merula Snyde,” said Amanda Heaton, Executive Producer, Jam City. “With our Dueling Club in-game event series, fans of the game will have the chance to be matched against players from all over the world.”

The first dueling event ends July 15. Additional Dueling Club events will take place throughout the summer months.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is free-to-play with microtransactions on iOS and Android devices.
