As always, Nintendo eschewed a live press conference in favor of their pre-recorded Nintendo Direct videos. Obviously the Nintendo Switch remains the primary focus. As expected, Super Smash Bros. was the highlight of their presentation, taking up the majority of this year’s E3 Nintendo Direct.

Demon X Machina

What is it: A mech-based action game by Marvelous Studios, featuring beloved Mech designer Shoji Kawamori.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country

What is it: Prequel DLC to last year’s well-received JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2, set 500 years in the past.

When’s it out: September 21

Fortnite

What is it: It’s Fornite, the global phenomon Battle Royale PvP that pits 100 players in a last-person-standing battle. Now on Switch!

When’s it out: Today!

Super Mario Party

What is it: The classic combination of board game and mini-games, designed for local multiplayer mayhem. Can utilize up to two Switch’s to expand the playing field.

When’s it out: October 5

Fire Emblem Three Houses

What is it: The teased Fire Emblem Switch title has been revealed as Three Houses. Features classic tactical turn-based gameplay. The first Fire Emblem on a home console since 2007’s Radiant Dawn.

When’s it out: Spring 2019

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

What is it: Our first gameplay look at the new Super Smash Bros. game for Switch. Features every fighter ever released on previous entries and DLC. Announced new fighter Ridley from the Metroid series.
