During the Ubisoft E3 2018 press conference, Ubisoft showed off more footage of their unique spaceship-based toys-to-life game, Starlink: Battle for Atlas. But the biggest announcement was the inclusion of a surprise Nintendo character. Anthropomorphic starfighter Fox McCloud and his Arwing will join the crew as a playable character, exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is out October 16 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.

Starlink can be played fully digitally, but an optional toys-to-life feature lets you buy, build, and attach spaceship parts onto a custom controller.

Player starships can explore the Atlas system and its many planets, each with their own story and challenges. Starlink will also feature split-screen multiplayer.

During the E3 conference, Ubisoft revealed much more of the story and gameplay. Watch the full E3 trailer below.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is coming October 16 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch. Fox McCloud will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version.
