Earlier this year The Pokémon Company declared 2018 the year of Legendary Pokémon. Popular mobile spin-off Pokémon GO is following suit, with a special Legendary Week running this week. It ends March 5.

The Pokémon GO Legendary Week will add Gen III Legendary Pokémon Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza to Raid Battles. As Legendary Pokémon these will be very difficult battles. There’s also a contest depending on which one is defeated more. If Kyogre and Groudon are defeated more than Rayquaza, Pokémon who prefer sunny or rainy weather (such as Lotad) will more likely hatch from eggs between March 6 and March 16. If Rayquaza is defeated more than Kyogre and Groudon combined, you’ll hatch windy weather Pokémon (like Bagon).

Legendary Pokémon were finally added to Pokémon GO last summer, along with the cooperative Raid Battles that they appear in. Raid battles typically require a group of people working together to wear them down so they can be captured.

The Year of Legendary Pokémon is a series of monthly giveaways. Each month brings a new Legendary Pokémon (or two) that can be downloaded from the internet or obtained via code from GameStop for Pokémon Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Moon. Currently there are two days left to grab Dialga and Palkia from GameStop. March will bring Regigigas and Heatran.

The Pokémon GO Legendary Week ends March 5.
