Kirby: Planet RoboBot is the latest entry in the beloved franchise starring the lovable pink blob. It was announced during the last Nintendo Direct presentation. Now Nintendo has released more information on the upcoming 3DS title, which will also be available as part of an amiibo bundle.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is set on Planet Popstar, which is being invaded by the Haltmann Works Company. The company is using a giant army of robots to… Well, this is a Nintendo game, so the story doesn’t really matter. What does matter is that the game will feature a number of new gameplay elements. In this outing, Kirby has his own super-powered mech, called the Robobot Armor. This massive pink hulk packs way more of a punch for the little guy. You can use the armor’s wrench to move around scenery and unlock new areas.

This new armor can also scan enemies and transform into different things based on said enemies. For example, if it scans a flying enemy, it transform into a jet. In other cases it can transform into a car. The armor can also unleash more powerful versions of some of Kirby’s abilities., like the copy ability.

Kirby: Planet Robobot includes functionality for any existing amiibo, but a special amiibo Kirby Collection is being released alongside the game.  The Kirby Collection amiibo set contains Kirby, King Dedede, Waddle Dee and Meta Knight. The new characters will each give Kirby a unique ability. The new Kirby amiibo specifically gives him the UFO ability. This allows him to float in the air indefinitely and fire heat beams at enemies.

Kirby: Planet Robobot and the corresponding amiibo are set for release on June 10.
