Indiana Pacers shooting guard Paul George is going to be the cover star of NBA 2k16’s new companion app.

The MyNBA2k16 companion app will launch on October 1 of this year. The app allows fans to stay totally connected to their NBA 2k16 profile. It’s main features include MyCAREER, where they can check in on their NBA 2k franchise, and MyPLAYER Store. The app will also offer more ways for players to earn in-game currency, as well as new episodes of 2KTV. The currency will be able to be spent in your NBA 2K16 console game. The goal is to make it easy to earn that currency on the go, and across platforms.

There’s also a digital card game component, called MyTEAM Mobile. Players can collect trading cards and challenge other NBA 2k16 players in different games. There will be a season-long tournament, special events, and lightning matches as well.

Paul George sounds pretty hype about being the face of the app.

“I’ve been a long-time fan of the NBA 2K series and love staying close to the game when I’m on the road,” he said. “Being selected as the face of MyNBA2K16 is the perfect opportunity to stay connected with the game, as well as represent the NBA 2K franchise.”

The app will be downloadable for free from the App Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. It’s also in the Google Play Store, and the Amazon Appstore. Just look for Paul George’s face.

NA 2K16 is the next installment in the NBA 2K series, which has been running for 15 years at this point. NBA 2K lets you manage basketball teams using real professional players. You can also make your own player and guide them through the career mode of the game. NBA 2K16 will come out on September 29 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
