Nintendo doesn’t release original new content very often. Most of its games are sequels, remakes, or spinoffs of pre-existing IP (intellectual property).
Sometimes, this is awesome. Other times, it gets…well, a little annoying.

It’s official: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is getting an HD remake for the Wii U. Twilight Princess HD, previously only rumored, is coming out on March 4, 2016 for Nintendo Wii U. Plus, it’s going to come bundled with a brand-new amiibo: Wolf Link. Read More
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes for 3DS is one of only a small handful of multiplayer Zelda games. Its unusual mechanics and irreverent tone definitely mark it as a spin-off rather than an essential installment in the series. Tri Force Heroes attempts some things that no other Zelda games have tried, to mixed results.
