Studio Gobo and Guerilla Games have partnered with The Lego Group to release LEGO Horizon Adventures on PC, PlayStation 5, and Switch.
LEGO Horizon Adventures is a LEGO-fied remake of Horizon Zero Dawn. Though Horizon is a T-rated, post-apocalyptic action-adventure series, LEGO Horizon Adventures is rated E10+, and uses the LEGO visual style and gameplay to create a far more family-friendly story.
Unlike the Horizon games, LEGO Horizon Adventures also supports two player co-op (similar to other LEGO games), via online and local multiplayer. It’s also the first Horizon game (albeit a spin-off), and one of the first Sony-published games, available on the Nintendo Switch.
LEGO Horizon Adventures offers multiple difficulty settings, and players can upgrade their characters alongside the hub village of Mother’s Heart as they progress through the story.
“Horizon is all about the mystery of the origins, especially for Aloy. It’s something we tried to replicate in LEGO Horizon Adventures where every character is on their quest for finding a family, building a home and making connections with each other in the story of LEGO Horizon Adventures,” said Stephane Varrault, design director, Guerrilla Games.
Horizon Zero Dawn received a remaster earlier this year for PlayStation 5. The remaster features 4K and HDR, instant SSD load times, 3D audio, and haptic feedback with the DualSense controller. It also includes all previously released DLC, including the Frozen Wilds expansion. Existing Horizon Zero Dawn owners can also upgrade to the digital version of the remaster.
