I don’t know if Farming Simulator 25 will be the best in the long-running series, but it will probably be the cutest. At Gamescom 2024, GIANTS Software showcased new features for the ninth main game in the series, including baby farm animals.

Farm animals now produce offspring, and players can watch as they roam the pens and grow into livestock. Farming Simulator 25 also adds goats and water buffaloes, which produce new types of milk and cheese.

The other big new feature are weather effects, including tornadoes and damaging hail storms. Aside from creating hazardous road conditions and visiblity, these weather events can damage fields and forests, and carry away hay bales.

Thankfully players can choose to deactivate crop destruction if they prefer their weather a little less extreme.

Digital farmers can also add rice, spinach, and other crops to their rotation.

Farming Simulator 25 is the first new game in the series since 2021, and uses the new Giants Engine 10. The new engine supports dynamic weather, better shadows, ground deformation, and more.

Players can choose between American, European, or East Asian farmland (including rice paddies) and use more than 400 licensed farm machines and items.

Farming Simulator 25 will release on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on November 25. In the mean time, check out our list of cozy farm sims.
