Camlann Games and developer Uncle Grouch Gaming have announced Dungeons & Kingdoms, a medieval sim builder, coming soon to Steam Early Access.

Dungeons & Kingdoms combines a medieval town management sim with action-RPG battles, kingdom defense, and dungeon crawls.

Players can build their kingdom from the ground up, or give orders to colonists based on blueprints. The modular building system will feature over 500 pieces, with blueprints that can be uploaded and shared via the Steam Workshop.

Manipulate the terrain itself by raising, lowering, and flattening areas for valleys, cliffs, and moats.

Combat isn’t just a distracting side activity. Hunting wild animals is critical to feeding villagers, and kingdoms must be protected from bandits and monsters.

To advance through technology and other rewards, players must venture into dungeons and defeat powerful bosses in third-person combat.

“I’m personally incredibly excited for this game,” said Slava Heretz, CEO, Camlann Games. “I’m a huge fan of medieval town builders and medieval life sims. A huge fan of ‘soulslikes’ and anything to do with fantasy dungeon crawling. Selfishly, I can’t wait to get my hands on the game. Development is coming along well and we’re incredibly excited to be able to showcase this unique title to players very soon.”

The early access version features the core gameplay of base building, village management, and survival. Dungeons & Kingdoms Early Access is planned for “about a year and a half.” The full version will include a story-mode campaign, playable races, co-op multiplayer, modding, and more.
