Inflexion Games announced that their PvE survival-crafting game Nightingale is releasing on PC early access (Steam, Epic) on February 20. That’s two days earlier than originally planned.
First revealed two years ago during The Game Awards 2021, Nightingale is a shared world survival-crafting game. Unlike most games in the genre (such as Ark), there’s no player versus player. Players can either play solo, or cooperatively with up to six players.
Instead of going for realistic, historical, or prehistoric, however, Nightingale is set in the Fae Realms, which the designers describe as “Gaslamp Fantasy.” It’s a cool mix of grim fantasy, steampunk, and eldritch horror.
Players can harvest resources to build out their bases, then open portals to procedurally generated worlds of fantastical creatures. As a Realmwalker, your goal is to become skilled enough to reach the magical city of Nightingale.
“Having the game release at the start of the week not only allows our community to get into the game earlier but also gives us time to address any launch issues ahead of what’s sure to be a busy weekend,” said Aaryn Flynn, CEO, Inflexion Games. “All in all, we’re excited to get the portal network up ahead of schedule.”
Inflexion Studios is made up of many industry veterans from BioWare and other major studios. Nightingale will be their first release.
