After canceling PAX East 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ReedPop has announced that PAX East 2022 is returning this April. The gaming convention will reunite gamers, developers and publishers in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from April 21 to April 24.

PAX East 2022 will feature Larian Studios and their current early access RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3 (coming 2023). Gearbox Software, a veteran of PAX East, will be in attendance to celebrate the release of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which launches on March 25. Other publishers include Focus Home Interactive, Koch Media, Xseed, Tiny Build, and Devolver Digital.

The competitive PAX Arena will include the $10k Splitgate Open, and a Fall Guys competition with streaming personalities playing for a $10k scholarship prize. Other game groups include IGN’s Nintendo Voice Chat, the new (and old) hosts of G4TV, and Skyrim Grandma Shirley Curry.

“We had an opportunity to shake the dust off the show at PAX West and PAX Unplugged,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder, Penny Arcade and PAX. “And now, it is just as was foretold: PAX East is reborn in glory.”

Four-day passes are available for $235, or individual day passes for $62 each. Show hours run from 10am to midnight every day except Sunday, which closes at 7pm. The Expo Hall is open until 6pm each day.

Attending PAX East 2022 will require mandatory proof of vaccination, as well as face coverings for all attendees and exhibitors.
