Frontier Developments has announced the release date for dino park sim sequel Jurassic World Evolution 2. It’s launching November 9th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with physical and digital versions.

The sequel, like the most recent film, expands the scope of the park beyond the tropical islands of the Muertes Archipelago and onto the entire world. Chronologically it’s set after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, where dinosaurs have officially been unleashed onto the rest of the world.

In an original campaign story mode, players will lead the effort to contain and conserve dinosaurs by establishing new facilities across the United States. Major cast members from the film series will aid your efforts, including Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Dr. Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum).

The sequel will also feature a new Chaos Theory mode, where players tackle “What If” scenarios and challenges based on events across the five film series, such as a successful Jurassic Park that opens in San Diego. There’s also a challenge mode with escalating difficulty and limited time, and a sandbox mode to build your dream park without any distractions.

Over 75 dinosaurs will be available to bio-engineer and care for, including flying and marine reptiles (which are technically not dinosaurs, but whatever!).

In addition to a standard edition ($59.99), a Deluxe Edition ($69.99) includes three exclusive vehicle skins, six building signs, and five new dinosaur species. Pre-orders will receive three vehicle skins that pay homage to the InGen company from The Lost World. Jurassic World Evolution 2 is rated T for Teen.
