Humble Bundle will be hosting its first Giving Tuesday live stream to raise money for GameChanger Charity. The stream will begin December 1 at 10 am Pacific/1 pm Eastern on the official Humble Twitch channel.
“We’re excited to show more of our games to our community, but more than that, we’re thrilled to be doing it for a good cause like the GameChanger Charity, because that’s what makes up our Humble DNA” said Alan Patmore, Humble Bundle’s General Manager.
The stream will include live gameplay and updates, and developer interviews from games published by Humble Games, including flight sim Project Wingman, which is set to launch on the same day on PC. Other games include Wildfire, Ikenfall, One Step from Eden, Popup Dungeon, and more.
Given all the business surrounding Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday I’ll forgive you if you’re not familiar with Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday was created as a response to the rampant consumerism around Black Friday, motivating people and companies to give to charitable organizations.
GameChanger Charity is a nonprofit charity dedicated to providing gaming entertainment for hospitalized children, as well as toys, electronics, and college scholarships.
“It’s truly an honor and very humbling to be able to help children and young adults that are fighting life threatening illnesses. We have helped over 30,000 children over the years and there is so much more to do. ” said Jim Carol, Founder and CEO. “GameChanger is really powered by this amazing gaming community and when we get a chance to work alongside companies like Humble, we get to amplify the message and directly impact many more lives. ”
Viewers will be able to donate to GameChanger directly through the broadcast via the Tiltify extension, and watch the fundraising goal without leaving the stream. The Humble Games Giving Tuesday stream begins December 1.
