Visiting a theme park during a global pandemic isn’t a great idea. With Planet Coaster: Console Edition, more folks can visit virtual theme parks, and design their own parks and rides from the ground up. It’s available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Planet Coaster features a career mode, challenge mode, and sandbox mode. Career mode gives players a themed starter scenario park, where they must complete certain objectives and goals to unlock further missions. Challenge mode and sandbox mode provide an empty lot that must be built from scratch. In sandbox you can run wild without worrying about money or research. In challenge mode you’ll have to manage your resources while completing challenges to earn rewards. Challenge mode features four different difficulty settings to tailor your playstyle.

Creative designers can build their own rides, buildings, and other decorations, and share them via the Frontier Workshop. The workshop can be accessed in game, on PC, or on mobile. Smart Delivery means that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions include a free upgrade to their next-gen counterparts.

Planet Coaster has featured numerous DLC packs over the years, but only a select few are available on consoles at launch. The Deluxe Rides Collection includes the Magnificent Rides Collection and Classic Rides Collection DLC packs, for a total of 18 new rides and coasters. It’s available as a separate purchase and included in the Planet Coaster: Deluxe Edition.

Planet Coaster: Console Edition and Deluxe Edition are available now on PlayStation and Xbox. It’s rated E for Everyone.
