The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 6.0 update hits today, along with the announcement and release of the fourth DLC fighter pack. Challenger Pack 4 features classic fighting game character Terry Bogard from the Fatal Fury series, along with the Kong of Fighters Stadium stage and 50 music tracks from SNK games.

Game director Masahiro Sakurai provides an in-depth look at the new fighter in the above video.

The DLC pack is part of the Fighters Pass ($24.99), or can be purchased separately ($5.99)

“By featuring an iconic fighting game character like Terry Bogard, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate expands its legacy as the quintessential love letter to the past and future of gaming,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior VP. “As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate continues to grow its roster of fighters, stages and music through downloadable content, we hope players will enjoy meeting both new friends and familiar faces that bring the game to life in unexpected ways.”

Version 6.0 is a free update for all owners of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. New addition includes finally letting multiplayer hosts change rules without disbanding the lobby, and allowing players to send messages to each other.

Terry Bogard is the 74th (!) fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He’s the fourth of five post-launch challenger packs, and the fifth DLC fighter if we include the pre-order DLC Piranha Plant. Previous Challenger Packs added Joker from Persona, the Hero from Dragon Quest, and Banjo & Kazooie. The Challenger Packs have been releasing about every two months since April. The fifth Challenger Pack is due out by Feb. 2020.

Also arriving today is the fourth round of Mii Fighter costume DLC, which adds new outfits for the highly customizable trio of Mii Fighters. To coincide with Bogard’s release, these outfits represent characters from classic fighting games such as Virtua Fighter and Samurai Showdown. Mii Fighter costumes are purchased separately for $0.75 each.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
