Paradox Interactive has released the newest expansion to the console edition of city building sim Cities: Skylines. The Campus DLC, as you can probably guess, adds new higher educational buildings and facilities, including sports arenas. The DLC is available now for $12.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
“Campus allows players to further diversify their cities by adding new education systems and buildings,” said Erika Kling, Product Manager, Paradox Interactive. “Expanding the amount of content available to our communities on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is important to us, and Campus allows us to do that in a big way.”
Players can design their own college campus based on three main styles: trade school, liberal arts college, and university. Reputation is earned by attracting students and creating Academic Works, which in turn unlocks new buildings. Seven new educational policies have also been added, including book fairs, and research grants can be used to support your staff.
Sports are a major part of any university, and the Campus DLC adds football, basketball, baseball, track, and swimming arenas. Players can customize their teams and collect prizes for winning matches.
Alongside the Campus DLC is the University City Content Creator Pack. The Pack ($4.99) adds dozens of new residential and commercial buildings and props that are thematically appropriate to a college town. You can go even further with the Radio Station Pack 3 DLC ($7.99), which adds Campus Rock Radio and Deep Focus Radio stations.
Cities: Skylines is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s rated E for Everyone.
