A five year old game is getting a paid expansion next week. Diablo III is re-introducing one of the series’ most beloved classes, the Necromancer, in the new Rise of the Necromancer expansion pack. It will available digitally on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 27 for $14.99.

“While players often ask us to bring back their favorite characters from our classic games, few classes have been requested as often, or as passionately, as the necromancer,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Reimagining the necromancer was a labor of love – we worked hard to capture the essence of what made the class so iconic, while taking advantage of everything Diablo III has to offer.”

The Necromancer includes all their signature abilities, including summoning an undead army and exploding corpses. Like all of Diablo III’s classes, you can choose to play as either a male or female Necromancer.

In addition to the new character class, the Rise of the Necormancer pack includes the following goodies:

  • The Half-formed Golem pet
  • Wings of the Crypt Guardian (Cosmetic item)
  • Necromancer portrait, banner, sigil, accent, and pennant
  • Two additional character slots
  • Two additional stash tabs (PC only)

Rise of the Necromancer can be purchased as a $14.99 add-on for existing Diablo III owners on PC and console. Newcomers can purchase the new Diablo III: Eternal Collection, which includes the 2014 Reaper of Souls expansion as well as the Rise of the Necromancer.

A new patch is also hitting at the same time. Patch 2.6 adds two new zones as well as new Challenge Rifts. They are free updates to everyone who owns the Reaper of Souls expansion.

Patch 2.6 and the Rise of the Necromancer pack will be available after server maintenance on the morning of June 27. For PC that’s 10 am Pacific/1 pm Eastern. Console is 8 am Pacific/11 am Eastern.
