There are still a couple of days left to help save Earth. Apps for Earth, a campaign raising money for the World Wildlife Fund, will end April 24. Until then, 100% of the proceeds from certain apps in the App Store will go to WWF.
There are 27 apps participating. One of the apps is WWF Together, an award-winning app that presents images, information, and interactive experiences about animals. WWF Together also now includes the story of Earth in honor of Earth Day. The story of Earth has 360-degree images of Earth from space, and more.
Participating apps include Angry Birds 2, Candy Crush Soda Saga, Best Friends, Cooking Dash 2016, Disney Infinity Toy Box 3.0, Hearthstone, Line, Map My Run, Peak Brain Training, Sim City BuildIt, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, and more.
WWF will get both the purchase price of paid apps and the in-app purchases created for the campaign.
“With rich creativity and extraordinary reach, this campaign will engage hundreds of millions of people. To succeed in our work, we need big ideas with big impact. Apps for Earth delivers on that in an unprecedented way and we couldn’t be more excited about it,” said Carter Roberts, President and CEO of WWF-US.
If you’ve been thinking of downloading some new apps, this might be a good time to visit the App Store and do some good while you’re at it!
