Last night on the “Late Show,” Stephen Colbert made fun of video game/movie crossover films, and then he showed a little Candy Crush Saga film for the “Late Show” audience—starring in it with movie star Liam Neeson.
The sketch makes fun of the Candy Crush game and its ability to keep people playing, even though at first glance it’s very simple. At one point, Colbert gets too distracted by the game to engage in conversation with Neeson.
Candy Crush Saga is one of the most-downloaded mobile games in history. It’s notable for its ability to keep people engaged and playing the game—sometimes too much.
Candy Crush Saga was included in Windows 10 when it shipped earlier this year.
Activision Blizzard recently bought King Digital Entertainment, the maker of Candy Crush Saga and other popular mobile games. They paid $5.9 billion for the acquisition.
