Ubisoft announced its first add-on content for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: a campaign focusing on the infamous Jack the Ripper.
The Jack the Ripper DLC takes place in 1888, 20 years after the events of Syndicate. It puts the player in charge of investigating the murders, alongside Inspector Frederick Abberline of Scotland Yard. It will be playable starting in December.
The DLC can be purchased separately, but it will also be bundled with the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Season Pass. The Season Pass will be available when the game is released on October 23, and you’ll get access to the content as it is released.
It also contains several extra missions, though Jack the Ripper is understandably the headliner.
I’m actually more excited about The Last Maharaja, which contains 10 missions that follow a man named Duleep Singh, who comes into conflict with the Templars and the Queen of England as he tries to reclaim his position as a ruler in India. This will come out in early 2016.
Another mission, called A Long Night, is included, in which Jacob has to help out a member of his gang over the course of one, well, long night. This one will be playable when Syndicate is released.
The Streets of London gameplay pack includes even more missions and is included in the Season Pass. It lets the player get more gear and outfits. It will add about an hour of extra play time.
More loot! The Steampunk Pack and Victorian Legends Pack also contains new gear and weapons, as well as a new outfit. Both come out in November.
And finally, Season Pass purchasers get a permanent XP boost. This Season Pass will be part of the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Gold Edition. The Gold Edition costs $89.99, which the basic version of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate costs $59.99. Both are available for pre-order right now, though as always, pre-order with caution as reviews for the game won’t be up until October.
