Amazon has been advertising their big Prime-members-only sale for the site’s 20th anniversary as “better than Black Friday,” but when it comes right down to it, the Prime Day deals aren’t really that notable or exciting. Discounts are fairly mediocre. Polygon’s Brian Crescente helpfully compiled a list of the most interesting game-related ones. Unfortunately some folks have also complained that deals are running out too quickly, though there will be new deals appearing throughout the day. Amazon is currently in a snark-battle with Walmart—the latter is also holding a sale, but without the membership gate. Overall, the mood is vague disappointment with a touch of eye-rolling.
