Nonprofit gaming platform PlanetPlay is hosting a Green Games Showcase as part of Summer Game Fest 2026. The Green Games Showcase will premiere on Saturday, June 6, and spotlight PC games with environmental themes, and sustainable messaging.
The Showcase is hosted by award-winning actor and environmental activist, Anjali Bhimani. Bhimani is also known for her voice talents in TV and gaming, including voicing Symmetra in Overwatch, and the entire cast of Sunderfolk.
Joining her as co-host is PlanetPlay’s Chief Strategy Officer, and host of Good Game Club podcast, Jude Ower MBE.
“The Green Games Showcase is about celebrating the creativity of developers who are building games with purpose, while also showing players that their engagement can have a real-world impact,” said Rhea Loucas, CEO of PlanetPlay. “With the support of partners like the Good Game Club Podcast, we’re able to scale that impact even further, connecting the global games community with meaningful environmental action.”
Participating studios include Fellow Traveller, Funcom, Goblinz Publishing, Positive Impact Games, rokaplay, Team17, Toplitz Productions, and Yaldi Games.
Any profits generated from the Green Games Showcase will go to the Green.Earth Hongera Energy Efficient Cookstoves Project.
PlanetPlay is a not-for-profit gaming platform that raises awareness and funding through in-game purchases, and digital gaming store. To date, PlanetPlay has raised over $2 million in funding for nature and environmental projects.
Annual gaming extravaganza Summer Game Fest kicks off on June 5, featuring days of live streaming and showcase events from major publishers and indie studios.
