Ludonaut Games has released In A World, a family-friendly card game designed for ages 10 and up. It’s available on Amazon.
Designed by a trio of siblings, In A World is a fast-paced card game featuring two different kinds of cards: “In A World” and “We Want.”
The In A World card sets the scene for the round, putting players in a fantastical scenario, like being world-famous rockstars, attending a magic school, or running a medieval tavern.
Players then select one of their We Want cards from their hand, which feature suitably wacky items, abilities, or allies that they believe fits best with that round’s crazy scenario. Then, players make a case for their We Want card to the round’s leader, arguing why their card is the best result to win the round.
If this all sounds very similar to perennial party game, Cards Against Humanity — I totally agree! But, without the extremely adult humor.
The game box includes 80 In A World cards and over 300 We Want cards, providing plenty of replayability.
“In A World was inspired by the imaginative games we created together when we were growing up,” said Ashley Rezvani, co-founder of Ludonaut Games, and assistant professor of game design at the University of Montana. “We wanted to make a game that felt welcoming, funny, and easy to jump into, while still giving players plenty of room to be creative with friends and family.”
