Indie studio Square Glade Games and publisher Silver Lining Interactive and released a free demo for upcoming cozy builder game, Outbound, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Outbound will fully launch on April 23 on Steam PC, PlayStation, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox.

The demo includes about three hours of open-ended gameplay in the first map, though you can choose to continue playing after finishing. The demo also supports cooperative multiplayer with up to four players.

Outbound is an open-world, 3D exploration game featuring you and your camper van. Basically, it’s a base building on wheels.

Players craft their mobile base using a modular crafting system, then pack it up and explore the utopian world in their van. There’s no danger or stress, just a friendly world with plenty of resources to gather, stuff to build, and beautiful places to set up shop. There’s also farming, gardening, and adoptable pets.

The demo released earlier this year on Steam, Switch, and Switch 2. The Switch 2 demo has recently been updated with better optimization.

In addition to a digital version ($24.99), Outbound is also getting two physical editions courtesy of Silver Lining Interactive. The Standard Physical Edition ($29.99) includes the School Bus Adventures DLC and digital soundtrack. The Collector’s Edition includes a game-accurate road map, acrylic standee, hanging charm, enamel pins, patches, postcards, and a Collector’s Box.

Outbound will launch on April 23 on PC and consoles. It’s rated E for Everyone.
