Gameloft has announced Bluey’s Happy Snaps, a new kid-friendly, picture-taking video game based on the beloved children’s animated series. Bluey’s Happy Snaps will release on PC and consoles later this year.

Bluey’s Happy Snaps is a picture-taking adventure game starring Bluey and her sister Bingo. The two siblings find Dad’s old Polaroid camera, and begin a scrapbooking adventure around their home, and the city of Brisbane, Australia.

Players can visit familiar locations from the TV show, including the ferry, the park, and the South Bank, and snap pictures of Australian wildlife and vistas.

Like any good family game, Happy Snaps also supports co-op play. Two players can play together as Bluey and Bingo, including snapping pics of each other, and interacting with the world.

“Created by a development team of parents, Bluey’s Happy Snaps is designed to foster the natural curiosity and creativity of kids,” states the official press release. “Much like the global hit series, the game promotes growth and connection through play, encouraging younger players to experiment through sandbox-style gameplay. Emphasizing the value of real-life activity, the game’s ‘Play For Real Life’ moments deliver meaningful, practical guidance for families to create moments together, even after screen time has ended.”

Bluey’s Happy Snaps is being developed by Gameloft Brisbane, in collaboration with Bluey producers Ludo Studio and BBC Studios. It’s launching later this year on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It’s rated E for Everyone.

Episodes of Bluey are available on Disney+.
