During Aniimo’s first live streamed developer preview, Kingsglory and Pawprint Studio revealed the start of the second closed beta test. The second closed beta test for Aniimo, “Paws Up,” will begin on January 23, and there’s still time to sign up.
The live stream (in Chinese, featuring English captions) included a ton of new information, as well as a new trailer with another catchy dang song.
The preview stream showcased new regions available in the beta, including Driftwise Meadow with “emotion-based ecology,” Sandcastle Hill, and Rosetower Wood.
The Homeland system is where players decorate and customize their own home base. There they can harvest and farm, and play with their Aniimo.
A new gameplay mode is also coming, with Operation Egg Heist. This competitive challenge mixes PvP and PvE on the Lost Isles, where teams of three explore areas and dungeons to find treasure and Aniimo eggs.
The closed beta test also features new Aniimo, including new Boss Aniimo. Fentfut and Nimbi can affect their environment with their tears, Eko provides sound-detection, while others have new behaviors and evolutions.
Boss Aniimo provide a much greater challenge, with Legendary Bosses as the pinnacle of Aniimo power. Players can encounter the first Legendary Aniimo, Irelia, as part of the main story available in the second closed beta test.
Aniimo is a free-to-play, gacha-style creature-collecting RPG. Players can explore the world of Idyll, finding and acquiring new creatures, and merging with them through the Twinning feature.
Aniimo will launch later this year on Steam PC, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile platforms.
