The LEGO Group, with developer SMG Studio and publisher Fictions, have released LEGO Party! on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox ($44.99).

A Retail Edition for LEGO Party! is also available via iam8bit for consoles. The Steam version is a bit cheaper, at $39.99, and features a 10% launch discount through October 14, dropping the price to $35.99.

LEGO Party! is a multiplayer party for up to four players, including online multiplayer, split-screen couch co-op, and cross-platform. Like the Mario Party series, players choose a board game-like map, move around the board, and compete in a variety of mini-games for the ultimate prize.

Unlike Mario Party, which uses specific characters, LEGO Party! takes advantage of customizable minifigures. By unlocking different pieces and outfits, players can create over one billion different character combinations.

The party game features four different non-licensed LEGO worlds to explore: Pirate, Space, Theme Park, and Ninjago. The worlds resemble the boards in Mario Party, where players roll and move.

Only four worlds seems a bit low for a LEGO property (and a party game). What about Castle? Or City? Underwater? LEGO Friends? Probably could’ve done something fun with Duplo as well!

All together, players can compete in 60 different minigames, from racing to balancing, shooting, painting, platforming, and rhythm games, all with LEGO’s beloved brick-based style.

LEGO Party! is available now on PC and consoles, and rate E for Everyone, with Mild Fantasy Violence and Comic Mischief.
