After five years in Early Access, indie sandbox adventure Wobbly Island will fully release as 1.0 on September 18, along with a big new Space Update.
The Space update adds a new world map, along with new missions, vehicles, and locations. Before launching into space, players will need to earn their Space License from the new Wobbly Space Center, and complete the challenges.
Developed by UK indie developer RubberBandGames, Wobbly Life was first launched via Early Access on Steam back in Summer 2020. Wobbly Life is an open world sandbox sim, a genre that makes me feel increasingly old. The game world is built with realistic-humorous physics (that’s the wobbly part) and an open world where up to four players can engage in over 50 different activities, minigames, and challenges.
Early Access has been party darn successful for Wobbly Life, earning the game the coveted “Overwhelmingly Positive” user rating on Steam, and over two million copies sold.
Wobbly Island is launching September 18 on Steam PC, PlayStation 5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s also getting a physical edition on consoles, which includes a sticker sheet and a map of Wobbly Island, which will probably become outdated at some point.
Wobbly Island is rated E for Everyone with Crude Humor, and Mild Fantasy Violence.
