Major gaming convention PAX East 2025 begins today, May 8, and runs through Sunday, May 11. Why not spend Mother’s Day at the Boston Convention Center in Boston, MA surrounded by crowds and games?

This year’s convention will feature more than 280 developers, publishers, and gaming retailers. Big names and featured sponsors include Wizards of the Coast (Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons), Larian Studios (Baldur’s Gate 3), Funcom (Dune: Awakening), The Pokémon Company (duh), and Devolver Digital (like half of every indie game).

PAX East 2025 will also feature the first hands-on demo of Crimson Desert, a highly anticipated open world action-adventure launching later this year.

PAX balances gaming between video games and tabletop, with plenty of tabletop RPGs and board game representation, from Cephalofair Games (Gloomhaven) to UVS (Critical Role: Heroes of Exandria), and of course, lots of Dungeons & Dragons.

Attendees can also watch panels with experts and professionals, participate in tournaments, rock out at concerts, hang out in the Cosplay Lounge, and enjoy the Arcade Freeplay room.

“I’ve been to every PAX that has ever happened, and I never get tired of the Expo Hall,” said Jerry Holkins, founder of PAX and Penny Arcade. “We’ve got an amazing roster this year and I can’t wait to get lost in it.”

PAX East four-day badges are still available, as well as single-day badges (limited quantities remain for four-day and Saturday badges).
