Game Freak, the designers behind a quirky little series called Pokémon, have launched mobile RPG Pandoland on mobile devices. It’s free-to-download on Android Google Play and iOS App Store.
Pandoland is a “casual adventure RPG” with players searching the world for treasure. Along the way, you’ll be recruiting and collecting different companions by exploring dungeons. You don’t gotta catch ’em all, but unlocking more companions and finding better treasure will lead to stronger teams. And a stronger team leads to more challenging dungeons, etc. You know the drill.
Pandoland features over 500 companions and treasures to discover.
The mobile game features a colorful, blocky, Minecraft-like art style. As a free-to-play RPG, Pandoland is also a gacha game, with rarities, random companions, and login bonuses. Apparently it’s also laden with ads, the bottom-barrel of the free-to-play gacha genre.
Players can unlock more rewards by playing co-op with friends and sharing progress, including earning a rare drop by inviting a friend, and again after inviting 10 more friends.
Pandoland was developed by WonderPlanet, Inc and published by Game Freak for mobile platforms. It’s rated E for Everyone, with in-app purchases.
