The second-ever Triple-i Initiative showcased dozens of upcoming indie games, including release dates, demo announcements, and several world premiere reveals. This many not be the Summer Game Fest, but if you like indie games (and who doesn’t!?), it’s well worth checking out the full stream.

Plus, the showcase is completely ad-free, sans host; just pure trailers!

The Triple-i Initiative featured four all-new game announcements:

Neverway

An intriguing blend of top-down Zelda, Stardew Valley, and eldritch horror? Plus, the pixel artist behind Celeste, and original music from Disasterpeace. I am so in for Neverway!

Release: TBA

Frostrail

Frostrail is a first-person, open world survival craft set in the bleak backdrop of a post-apocalyptic, frozen world of deadly monsters. But hey, at least we get an armored train!

Release: 2026 (Early Access)

Speedrunners 2: King of Speed

Zany 2D platforming-racing game Speedrunners is getting a sequel with Speedrunners 2: King of Speed. Up to eight players can compete in online and local races.

Release: 2025

Void/Breaker

Void/Breaker is a fast-paced, frenetic, first-person shooter in a future world of endless, destructive machines. The roguelite FPS features free-form weapon crafting and modification to create the perfect arsenal.

Release: 2025 (Early Access)

The Triple-i Initiative also featured dozens of new trailers and updates for other upcoming indie games. Here are a few I’m most excited about:

Endless Legend 2 – Amplitude Studio’s latest 4x strategy game is a sequel to their most beloved game, set in a rich fantasy world. It’s launching via Steam Early Access this Summer.

The Eternal Life of Goldmon –  This 16-bit 2D platformer wins my personal Best Trailer Award with gorgeous animation and a mythological world. Releasing later this year.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era – An Ubisoft-published, old-school HoMM strategy game was not on my gaming bingo card, but I’m so glad it’s coming to Steam Early Access this Summer.

Star Birds – A cute and puzzly sim strategy game from the designers of cute tile-laying game Dorfromantik. Demo launching this June.

The Triple-i Initiative is a collaboration between many indie studios to create a single showcase featuring dozens of games.
