The second half of Marvel Rivals first double-size Season begins today with Season 1.5, adding the rest of the Fantastic Four with Human Torch and The Thing.
Human Torch is a flying, fire-based Duelist who operates similarly to Iron Man. The reveal trailer shows off a spiffy team-up ability, as Johnny ignites Storm’s tornado ultimate. Firenado!
The Thing is a tanky Vanguard with lots of fun mobility, including a charge and a leap. He teams up with Wolverine to launch him with a Cosmic Fastball.
Like the rest of the roster, both heroes are completely free to play.
Season 1.5 also adds a new map, Eternal Night: Central Park, further showcasing Dracula’s takeover of NYC. The update adds some balance changes, bug fixes, and one big change for Chrono Tokens. For players who purchase the Premium Battle Pass and fully complete it, they can now convert excess Chrono Tokens into Units.
This is a welcome change, as previously excess Chrono Tokens were wasted when the new season started. Units are an evergreen currency, and used to purchase premium skins from the shop (and also earned via the Battle Pass).
The exchange rate between Tokens and Units has not been revealed, but anything is better than nothing!
