Hogwarts Legacy may have extended its legacy even further thanks to mods. Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software have officially added modding support in the latest patch for the PC version of Hogwarts Legacy.
Talented wizards can create their mods through the new Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit. With the Creator Kit, modders can create new cosmetic options and skins, as well as entire quests and dungeons.
The Creator Kit is free to download on the Epic Games Store (Hogwarts Legacy is also available for PC on Steam).
Reliable mod hosting site CurseForge will host and moderate mods for Hogwarts Legacy. Any mods created through the kit will be submitted through CurseForge for final approval.
Players on the PC version can freely download mods directly from the main menu in game.
The new video shows off some sample mods, including dragon-riding, and a big combat-focused dungeon crawl called Dungeon of Doom.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open world RPG set 100 years before the age of Harry Potter. Players enter the famous wizarding school as a magical teenager, where they attend school, craft potions, defeat monsters, and uncover a sinister plot.
Mods add a ton of life to any game, and especially RPGs (hello, Skyrim!), and a huge boon for fans of an already solid adventure.
Hogwarts Legacy is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s rated T for Teen.
