META Publishing and NEXT Studios have released an enhanced remaster for co-op platformer, Biped, along with the reveal of Biped 2, coming in 2025.

Biped originally launched in 2020 as a two-player co-op puzzle-platformer. Players play as cute little two-legged robots who must venture across the world. Most of the puzzles utilize the robots’ suction feet or tether rope, requiring both players to stay in sync with one another without a split screen.

The enhanced version supports 2K resolution for PlayStation 5 (and PS5 Pro), and it’s currently free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

In our review of Biped back in 2020, we found the physics-based puzzles a little frustrating for younger gamers, even though the game is rated E for Everyone.

Biped 2 will expand the multiplayer from two to four players, along with new robots, more missions, and diverse biomes. This time our little robots will venture beyond Earth to save others across the galaxy. Our robots also get new tools, such as gliders and grappling hooks to reach new areas.

Sometimes the robots may stack on top of one another, dividing the controls between arms and legs with two larger bots. This is starting to sound like a Mario Party minigame!

Biped 2 will release in 2025 on Steam PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.
