During the PlayStation State of Play, Capcom finally revealed the release date for Monster Hunter Wilds in a new trailer. Monster Hunter Wilds will arrive on February 28 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The trailer provides a deeper look into the main story for Monster Hunter Wilds, and reveals the main villainous monster: Arkveld, a mysterious winged creature known as the White Wraith.

A new feature in Monster Hunter Wilds are shifting seasons for each area. The Scarlet Forest goes through three distinct periods: Fallow, Inclemency, and Plenty. Fallow features red rivers and dense vegetation. Heavy rains and surging rivers challenge hunters during Inclemency, but gives way to the period of Plenty, with robust fishing and teeming wildlife.

Players can explore the region by swinging from Wedge Beetles or riding on their Seikret mounts.

The apex predator of the Scarlet Forest is Uth Duna, a fishy monstrosity that emerges during the wet season of Inclemency.

In addition to the standard edition, Monster Hunter Wilds will launch with a Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions on all platforms.

The Deluxe Edition ($69.99) includes several cosmetic outfits and stickers in the Deluxe Pack. The Premium Deluxe edition ($89.99) includes the Deluxe Pack and future cosmetic DLC packs releasing Summer 2025.

All pre-orders will also receive the Guild Knight hunter layered armor, and Hope Charm talisman.

Monster Hunter Wilds will release February 28. It’s rated T for Teen.
