One of the most popular gaming series on mobile is making the leap to consoles. Crossy Road Castle will launch on PlayStation 5, Switch, and Xbox consoles on September 11.

Crossy Road Castle is a 2D, light-hearted, roguelike platformer with a blocky art style. Players control unlockable animal characters as they make their way up a tower in a series of procedurally generated levels. Ten unlockable towers equal thousands of room combinations.

Originally released for Apple Arcade, each level plays relatively quickly. Challenges include spikes, pits, falling blocks, moving platformers, and even vehicles. Players have a set amount of lives, and once those lives are expended, it’s game over for that run. Players can earn coins to unlock more lives, and additional characters. And hats!

Up to four players can play together in online and local co-op. Local co-op includes multiple devices, or with the same device and multiple controllers. It also supports cross platform multiplayer.

When connected online, players can take part in Challenge Events to compete in the leaderboard for certain runs. The developer also promises regular limited time events, special levels, and themed characters. Everything is live service these days!

Crossy Road Castle will release on September 11 on consoles. It’s also available on Apple Arcade with an age rating of 4+.
