During the Summer Game Fest 2024 showcase, Warner Bros. Games announced Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions. It’s releasing on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox on September 3.

It will also be one of the free monthly games for PlayStation Plus members for the month of September, beginning Sept. 3 ($29.99).

Quidditch Champions is a fantasy sports game based on the somewhat nonsensical, but visually cool flying-broom sport in the Potterverse. Players can customize their characters, or assume the role of famous Potter characters such as Harry, Ron, or Hermione — or challenge them. All roles are available to play, including Beater, Chaser, Keeper, and Seeker, across multiple game modes.

A variety of maps include backyard brawls at the Weasley Burrow to tournaments at the Quidditch World Cup.

In addition to a single-player career mode, players can go online for PvP matches in solo or three-player co-op or competitive play.

The game is developed by Unbroken Studios under the WB Harry Potter label, Portkey Games.

“The team is excited to unveil Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and showcase our take of this magical sport,” said Paul Ohanian, CEO, Unbroken Studios. “We’ve worked hard to create a Quidditch game to play solo or with friends, that is an authentic representation of the fan-favorite sport.”

Players who own Hogwarts Legacy and connect both games to their WB Games account will receive a special Bonus Legacy Pack for Quidditch Champions. The pack includes Sebastian Sallow hero and wand skins, and the Moontrimmer Broom skin.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will launch on September 3. It has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
