Indie developer Double Dagger Studio has released cat-exploring game Little Kitty, Big City. It’s available on PC (Steam), Switch, and Xbox (including Game Pass), for $24.99. Pick it up before May 23 to receive a 10% launch discount ($22.49).

As shown during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, Little Kitty, Big City is a wholesome 3D exploration game where you play as a small black cat. The cat gets lost in the city, and must find their way home.

The city is an open-world, non-violent playground, with friendly stray animals to talk to, hidden hats to find, and lots of stuff to knock over. Friendly animals have quests, hats can be worn, and much chaos can be caused, much to the chagrin of the humans.

It almost goes without saying, but the cat cannot be injured, and is never seriously threatened.

It sounds a bit like Untitled Goose Game, but less puzzles and more chilling in a big city.

Double Dagger Studio is an indie developer based in Washington, founded by industry veteran Matt T. Wood. Little Kitty, Big City is their first title, and they celebrated with an adorably cool cake.

Little Kitty, Big City is rated E for Everyone.
