The Pokémon Company revealed the Mythical Pokémon Pecharunt. Pecharunt is only available after completing the epilogue of the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. You’ll also need to claim the Pecha Berry Mystery Gift from the Mystery Gift menu.
Here’s how to obtain Pecharunt:
- Finish the entire The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk campaigns (Part 1 and Part 2 of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero).
- Complete at least one full round of the Academy Ace Tournament. This is available after you complete the main story of Scarlet or Violet. Start it by talking to a man near the front desk of the school, and you will battle four high-level trainers (Pokémon around level 70).
- Claim the Pecha Berry Mystery Gift. Go to the Poké Portal menu, then Mystery Gift, and select “get via internet,” to receive the special item.
- Head to the shop in Mossui Town in Kitakami and interact with the dusty old decoration to unlock Mythical Pokémon. Hiding in plain sight!
Pecharunt is a Poison/Ghost Type, and is known as the Subjugation Pokémon. It features a new Ability, Poison Puppeteer, which adds a confusion effect to any Pokémon who has been poisoned.
It signature move is Malignant Chain, which leaves its target badly poisoned (and confused, thanks to its Ability).
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is available as a two-part DLC bundle (and make sure to get the right version for Scarlet or Violet). Pokémon is rated E for Everyone.
