During The Game Awards 2023, Universal Games and Saber Interactive revealed Jurassic Park: Survival, a single player action-horror game set mere hours after the events of the original 1993 film.

Dr. Maya Joshi is an InGen scientist who was unable to escape Isla Nublar during the evacuation, leaving her to survive in a hostile environment with loose dinosaurs on the island.

The story is set a day after the events of the first film, as Maya explores iconic locations, and evades the infamous predators roaming the park.

Gameplay uses immersive first-person stealth and action for cinematic dinosaur encounters, escapes, and problem-solving. The entire island is available for exploration, with reactive wildlife and other threats.

“We’ve consistently heard from our fans that they’ve been waiting for a game to immerse them in Jurassic Park like never before and, well, we found a way,” said Jim Molinets, Senior Vice President, Universal Games. “We’re excited to finally reveal that the iconic film is coming to life in an all-new video game in partnership with the amazing talent at Saber Interactive and can’t think of a better way to culminate the year-long celebration of Jurassic Park’s 30th anniversary than with this thrilling announcement.”

Jurassic Park: Survival is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. A release date has not yet been announced.
