Wizards of the Coast has announced a partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org to bring Dungeons & Dragons to 200 classroom across the United States. The promotion highlights the popular tabletop role-playing game as a tool to develop literacy, mathematics, collaboration, and empathy.

Teachers and classrooms between grades 4-12 with an AdoptAClassroom.org page can fill out an online application to win one of the D&D library sets, which includes the following D&D books and products:

  • Player’s Handbook
  • Dungeon Master’s Guide
  • Monster Manual
  • CandleKeep Mysteries
  • D&D Essentials Kit
  • D&D Campaign Cases
  • D&D Afterschool Club Kit, including D&D Starter Set: Dragons of Stormwreck Isle

Selected teachers will also receive $100 in funding to order more classroom supplies through the AdoptAClassroom.org marketplace.

“Dungeons & Dragons is more than just a roleplaying game that brings us together in our social lives,” said Cynthia Williams, president, Wizards of the Coast.” It is a powerful learning tool that can be used inside and outside the classroom, offering social, emotional, and creative benefits. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, we are hoping to provide teachers the resources they need to offer fun and engaging ways to empower students.”

AdoptAClassroom.org is a 501(c)(3) charity that supports funding and donating to teachers, classrooms, and schools. In over two decades they’ve helped support millions of students around the country.
